The deer have really created a challenge to having a vibrant
rose garden.  I am building a lattace fence around the garden
and hope that I can keep them out this year.  I will probably
replant 50% of the garden.  These roses are from before deer.
New growth bamboo is fascinating to watch.  Some of
this new growth is 3 inches in diameter and will reach
over thirty feet high  (all growth in several months only)
I have 8 varieties of bamboo on the farm.
The deer ate all of my giant tulips this last
year and I did not replant.  I will probably
establish some new beds in the fall. This is
last years in arrangement
